A pair of New York rap icons are becoming a member of forces for a tour that may make its solution to Metro Detroit this summer season.
Wu-Tang Clan and Nas will convey their NY State of Thoughts tour to Pine Knob on Sept. 3, promoters introduced Tuesday.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 26.
Tuesday’s announcement was teased Monday on Pine Knob’s social channels, with lyrics from each Wu-Tang and Nas posted over footage of the New York Metropolis skyline.
Each Wu-Tang and Nas emerged out of New York’s rap scene within the early-to-mid Nineteen Nineties, Wu-Tang with its kung-fu impressed debut album “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” in November 1993 and Nas along with his landmark debut “Illmatic” simply six months later.
