Within the hours after the late rapper DMX suffered a massive heart attack on April 2, celebrities and members of the hip hop neighborhood shared their prayers for his recovery — up till his household introduced Friday that DMX had died at the age of 50.
Condolences poured in from rappers, comedians and others the world over.
Jamaal Bowman, a member of Congress who represents New York’s sixteenth District, which accommodates DMX’s hometown of Mount Vernon, tweeted, “Sending love, energy, and therapeutic to DMX’s household.”
“Might he relaxation in peace, and will his spirit reside on in Mount Vernon and worldwide by means of the affect your music had on us all!”
Likelihood the Rapper said, “Relaxation in Heaven.”
Soulja Boy tweeted, “RIP DMX 🙏🏾🥺”
Comic and host Lonnie Love recalled a reminiscence of assembly DMX in an airport with Sherrie Shepard.
“She referred to as me and X took the telephone and we talked, laughed & prayed a superb half-hour … I want we had extra time ..”
Ice Dice stated he’s sending “warrior prayers to the homie DMX” on Twitter.
“His present meant a lot to so many,” tweeted actor Halle Berry. “Sending like to his household.”
Fatimah Nyeema Warner, a rapper identified professionally as Noname, said “relaxation straightforward dmx.”
“Each canine has its day,” tweeted Buffalo Payments linebacker Andre Smith. “RIP DMX.”
